Owie, my throat hurts. Just come on during the day and I'm sure one of my tonsils is swollen *sigh* If there's one illness I detest it's a sore throat but it's what I always get. I hate my tonsils.
It'll be because of the gig on Weds night, happens quite often to me after gigs because of the whole hot atmosphere and then going out into a cold night thing, my body does not like sudden temperature shifts at all.
It was AMAZING though. I've wanted to see the Lostprophets live for ages and they didn't disapoint. Only downside though was the heat. OMFG. Bar a sauna I have never been that hot in my life. If you live in the UK you'll know what the weather in general has been like this week, now go and stand in a hall with blacked out windows, no air source and no air-con with 2000 rock fans = death. I did just kind of forget about it though once the 'prophets came on, hot, dirty and sweaty is how a proper rock gig should be really! And they finished with Burn Burn <3
The support was cool as well and I thought the way they just milled about the venue, talking to fans, when they weren't playing was ace. OK so they weren't in anyway well known bands but they were just so down to earth :)
Got totally lost on the way out of Exeter though XD
Oh, and on the drive up we saw one of the best company names EVER. Just on the side of the A38 was a sign for a meat company, there are loads of farms and such down our way, and it was called - WELL HUNG MEAT - how fabby!!! Caused muchos amusement.
Yesterday I got to see Andy again too, he got back Weds but I wasn;t around obviously. Not had my birthday surprise yet though.
Hence today after 2 tiring nights I'm utterly knackered, and now getting ill. I think the plans for this weekend are sleeeeeep.
Ooh got my car stereo fitted yesterday. It is pure love. No more fluffy sounding tapes for me! So nice to be able to listen to CDs and MP3's as I drive about. |
